We returned to Casa Velas for the 2nd year in a row & we were even more happy with our stay this time! It s the most quiet & peaceful resort we have ever stayed at. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, this is the place to go! The grounds & accommodations are beautiful & the staff could not be more helpful and pleasant! We will be back at Casa Velas again!
A Honeymoon Well Spent
We spent our honeymoon here and couldn't have been happier. Everything from the staff to the bathroom cleanliness was excellent. The food was delicious, the pool and beach club were gorgeous, and the service was incredible. We also used the spa for a couples treatment and were dazzled by the amenities and staff. The location and security were also fantastic. Very close to the marina and it's nightlife, while being only a short drive from the central Puerto Vallarta boardwalk. Finally, the on-site activities were a joy. Each night there was a new theme (e.g. a "Cuba" night, a casino night, etc.) and we loved them all. It was a truly wonderful experience and I wouldn't recommend staying anywhere else.

A World-Class Boutique Resort
My wife and I spent a week at Casa Velas boutique resort celebrating our 41st wedding anniversary. This was our first visit to this facility. The site proved to be so outstanding that we will return next year for another week's stay. As an all-inclusive, the presentation and quality of the food was gourmet level. The resort's staff members take noticeable pride in their work as they go out of their way to make guests immediately feel they are a part of the Casa Velas family. We wish to extend a special thank you to the following exceptional staff members who provided us with one of the most memorable weeks of our life: Daniel and Jorge - Food servers at the Ocean Club Miquel, Rogelio, and Marco - Concierges Gerardo - Pool waiter who provided the most outstanding "pampering" we have ever received! Angelina - Housekeeping Geraldine - Manager - She clearly has her "thumb on every pulse," making certain that the facility is run to perfection in every way possible. Gracias to all of you for an unforgettable week! Fondly, Jay and Robin Cohe
Everything was perfect, from the time we checked in to the time of leaving. The food was the best we have experienced. The staff made our vacation one of the best. We say a special thank you to our concierge, to (Pablo and the crew) from the restaurant, the friendly faces at the check in, the room cleaning services, etc. CASA VELAS management should be proud of their staff
We have been at Casa Velas twice before, the last time was 5 years ago. Staff and service were outstanding as we remembered. The food was excellent, congrats to the new chef. We appreciated the attention to so many details! It does seem that at "Casa" everything is possible. Many thanks
There are elements of this property that are exceptional: the rooms, the pool, the grounds and the spa/fitness facility. These are all top-notch and clearly the best in Puerto Vallarta. I was solidly disappointed, on the other hand, with the service and the food here. I ate only at Casa Velas, so cannot speak to the beach property, but I found the food very average. In particular, the breakfast "buffet" which is just cut fruit, stale pastries and standard mediocre warm offerings that you'd expect in any mid-range hotel. Dinner service was not to my liking either, and it took more than 90 minutes from start to finish. That feels a bit long. What really disappointed me here, though, was the service. My server at dinner asked me at every single interaction for my room number. Why not write it down? I was one of only a handful of tables in the restaurant occupied. He then forgot part of my order, and overlooked completely that I had ordered dessert while I sat with nothing on my table except my phone. I also had an awkward encounter with the gentleman who showed me to my room. He outlined a "special" dinner service that night before asking me if it was included in my all-inclusive package. I said I did not know. He then said "well if someone did not tell you at check-in about it then it is not included." Why tell me about it then? I was very confused at that point, unsure where I was supposed to go eat dinner that evening. I had to confirm with the restaurant that I was "allowed" to eat there without extra charge and it was a very bad situation to put a guest in. I also don't care for the "long pants, long sleeve button down" dress code requirement. Further, although I was wearing long pants and a button down, I saw people eating in shorts and short sleeve shirts. Hello, it's 90 degrees outside. I understanding wanting to create a more elegant, formal environment. It just feels a bit outdated. All in all I'll skip this property on future trips to PV and continue to stay at the Westin, at least until it closes for condo conversion. Casa Velas has no views, and the price premium charged is more than I am willing to justify given the location, poor food and service I experienced
