Casa Velas is another facet of the Velas Resorts in Puerto Vallarta. This one is definitely more couples and adults only. Amazing gardens and water features. There is no other resort that features outstanding service at all levels like they do at Casa Velas! Every single food option is well thought out and provides for a variety of tastes. You need to remember to let them serve you! It is in believable the way that they provide thoughtful service to meet everyone of your needs!

Private Beach Club & Restaurant Announces Chef Hugo A. Sandoval Rivera to Prepare Special Brunch & Dinner Menus during Puerto Vallarta International Gourmet Festival 

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (October 31, 2022) - Velas Resorts is pleased to announce the completion of recent renovations at Táu Beach Club in Puerto Vallarta. Led by Mexican designer Adriana De León, upgrades include renovations to the private beach club's event space along with the debut of a new bar. Honoring its coastal location in the exclusive enclave of Marina Vallarta, changes also include updates to seating and decor and a new menu. Guests can visit Tau during the upcoming Puerto Vallarta International Gourmet Festival, happening November 10-20, to experience special dinner and brunch menus from visiting chef Hugo A. Sandoval Rivera. 

Rivera, executive chef of Hacienda San Lorenzo, the oldest winery in America which began producing in 1594, will serve as guest chef during the festival. Originally from Coahuila, Sonora, Rivera's interest in gastronomy was born through cooking with his family. Chef Hugo currently leads the kitchen of Hacienda San Lorenzo, home of Casa Madero, where he creates modern garden to table cuisine distinguished using Mexican products, French techniques, and regional flavors.

Highlights of the dinner menu include roasted baby bok choy, green apple aguachile, octopus empalme (sandwich), and risotto with roasted tomatillos. A dessert favorite includes roasted pear cream with citrus, honey ice cream and hazelnut crumble. A special Sunday brunch, on November 13th, features asparagus with creamy egg yolk and pork sausage, mushroom skillet with epazote mornay sauce, eggs benedict with corn biscuit, brioche bread muffin with "Atropellado Norteño", and carrot pancakes with lavender scented Bavarian cream and candied walnuts.

Dinner will be available from 6 to 10 p.m. from November 11-20. Guests staying at Casa Velas can enjoy the special meals complimentary. Outside guests can book a reservation for a la carte dinner nightly and the brunch, inclusive of wine pairing, for $800 pesos (approx. $40 USD) per person.
